Big Wins, Bold Adventures & What’s Coming in 2026 for KWPC

As we wrap up 2025, we want to send a huge thank you to everyone who made this year such a success. Our club is growing, we had our first-ever team attend Provincials (Surrey, April), and we had an amazing group of athletes representing Team BC at Provincial Nationals at the Jean-Drapeau Aquatic Complex in Montreal (July 1–6).
A Year Full of Big Moments
We had some unforgettable weekends in and out of the pool — including an epic Kelowna Classic Lake Water Polo Tournament in July, plus strong showings at the UBC Fall Classic, West Coast Invitational, Fall Metro League Community Tournament, and our own December Jamboree.
High-Performance Adventures (Yes, International!)
This year also included a truly special international experience, with a small group of KWPC athletes travelling to Bečej, Serbia for an 11-day high-performance training camp led by Team BC Technical Director and Olympic Bronze Medallist Branko Peković. The camp featured top Serbian coaches, along with visiting players and teams from Hungary and California.
Adult Program Highlights
Our adult program also had plenty to celebrate, with a small but mighty group of athletes wrapping up the summer with a memorable trip to Ruby Lake. July also brought a standout performance at the Across the Lake Swim, where Zoe Pauling and Alex Parrish captured gold medals in their respective age groups.
Couldn’t Do It Without You
None of this would be possible without our awesome coaches, dedicated volunteers, and our players who work hard every practice to keep improving and help the team grow. Thank you for being the heart of KWPC.
Register for Winter 2026 (January–April)
Registration is open for the January–April 2026 session for both youth and adult programs:
Tournament of Courage — Coquitlam (Jan 23–25, 2026)
KWPC will be attending the Tournament of Courage in Coquitlam — a special tournament that pays tribute to the memory of Silvia Wilson-McDermid. Each team awards a Courage Medal to a player who demonstrates exceptional courage throughout the weekend.
Kelowna will be teaming up with Vancouver Vipers, Coquitlam Lions, and North Shore Titans for our 14U Boys and 12U CoEd team. We will also have 16U girls and 16U boys competing in the competitive 16U division.
16U NCL — Saskatoon Bound (with Pacific Storm)!
We’re excited to share that our 16U girls and 16U boys NCL athletes will be heading to Saskatoon at the end of January to compete in the first National Club League (NCL) event — competing with Pacific Storm.
The NCL is the elite level of age-group water polo in Canada, bringing together the top clubs and athletes for a season of high-level competition. The 16U season runs January through May and is built around multiple event weekends across Eastern and Western Conferences, building toward the Conference Championships and the NCL National Finals.
