It was a busy and exciting weekend for Kelowna Water Polo Club athletes, with strong performances, medals earned, and several upcoming events now open for registration. Here’s a roundup of the latest club news and what’s coming up next.

Tournament of Courage Recap

The Silvia McDermaid Tournament of Courage (January 23–25) was a standout weekend for Kelowna athletes, with strong performances across multiple age groups and medal finishes while competing with Pacific Storm.

Highlights included gold medals in 14U Boys and 16U Girls, a silver medal in 16U Boys, and competitive, high-effort games across all divisions. Kelowna athletes also teamed up with the Vancouver Vipers and Coquitlam Lions to form strong combination squads in 12U and 14U, led by Kristin Smart and Andrew Cho, with Ben Halsall supporting as assistant coach.

We also had a strong group of players from the Ogopogo Summer Swim Club competing this past weekend, including two of our gold medal winners.
