Vernon Winter Carnival Parade – Call for Participants

If anyone from the Kelowna Water Polo Club is interested in walking in the Vernon Winter Carnival Parade with the Vernon Water Polo Club, let us know!

Date: Saturday, February 7

Both adult and youth are welcome!

Expect to arrive at the staging area around 10:30 a.m. and be done at 1:30 p.m.. It’s only about a one mile walk.

A fun way to show off water polo in the Okanagan, invite new members, and get everyone involved. Expect flying balls and medals for the audience.

I will be working on the schedule for our club jamboree this week.

Note the schedule change on Saturday 14th February:
Friday 7pm–9pm – H2O
Saturday 9am–5pm – Parkinson Rec Centre
Sunday 6pm–8pm – H2O

Saskatoon NCL Tournament Recap – 30 Jan to 1 Feb

Kelowna athletes had a strong showing at the Saskatoon NCL Tournament, competing with Pacific Storm against top competition from across the Western Canada.

In the 16U Girls division, Evelyn Barr, Tea Oenema, Esme Oenema, and Aanika Jonson helped Pacific Storm earn a silver medal after an excellent tournament marked by strong teamwork and consistent performances.

On the boys’ side, Liam Halsall played with the 16U Boys team and placed 4th after finishing both their quarterfinal and semifinal matches in a penalty shootout. The team put in a huge effort across the weekend in a very competitive division.

Pacific Storm 16U Girls - Saskatoon NCL

Evelyn Barr, Tea Oenema, Esme Oenema and Aanika Jonson played on the 16U Girls Pacific Storm team.

Pacific Storm 16U Boys - Saskatoon NCL

Liam Halsall played on the 16U Boys team with Pacific Storm.

Summer 2026 Girls Athlete Exchange
This event is for 2012–2014 female athletes across BC and a great opportunity to build confidence, leadership, and peer relations through the exchange.

We have to make team submissions by February 20, so we need to know which divisions we will be submitting teams in, or where we need to collaborate with other clubs.

Pacific Storm – Spring Break Training Camp

As signs of spring begin to appear and Spring Break approaches, Pacific Storm’s annual Spring Break Training Camp will be returning again this year!

Tentative Dates: March 14–28 (two weeks)
Location: CCAC (1210 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC V3B 7T8)

We are sending this early notice to help families plan ahead. This year, Pacific Storm is also hopeful to welcome a very special guest to join the coaching team, which will be a wonderful and valuable experience for athletes.
